Not everyone flourishes in a classroom environment...
Our vision is to build a vibrant community of belonging providing opportunities for engagement for everyone. Learners, Teachers, Artists, Craftsmen and women and Mentors, to build capacity, re-engage with life and learning and re-imagine their futures.
Our students are going places. We need your help to get them there...
Transport is a major barrier facing many of the people we work with. We are in great need of an 18 seater bus to help recconect our people with their community. Your donation would mean we can collect students and bring them to class or enable us to take students out into the community to take part in activities that help to build confidence, capacity and optimism.
We all feel better able to concentrate after a good feed...
Statistics show that students who are well fed have higher attendance rates, increased participation and better results. We would like to make good nutritious food a part of our students’ everyday lives. Donations of fresh or tinned food will make an enormous difference to the learning experience of participants.
Ella Fitzgerald once said “The only thing better than singing is more singing....”
The Port Macquarie-Hastings School of Hard Knocks provides opportunities for members of our community who have experienced homelessness, disadvantage or have been marginalised or excluded socially, to engage in the arts and develop their skills, confidence and capacity to take new steps to advance their lives. Your donation will help to keep our choir singing.

If you build it, they will come...
With so many new programs catering to such a diversity of different groups within our community, we are bursting at the seams.
Your donation will help us find a new home where all of our people can access our programs in an environment that helps them to reach their full potential.
Always was, Always will be...
As part of our Indigenous Strategy, we are committed to increasing participation and education outcomes of Indigenous people. Through our community education outreach initiatives, and in close consultation with the Birpai LALC, we aim to assist Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students by making relevant education and training opportunities more accessible.
