Creating an Alternative, Individual Pathway to Work or Study
Vocational Pathways: Year 10 Alternative

Our Vocational Program offers a range of courses to eligible students for the entire period of time they need to engage in learning to satisfy mandatory schooling requirements until age 17. We do not just offer one course; we offer a pathway to employment or further education.

The vocational program is subsidised and is an approved program for early school leavers with NESA. Those wishing to swap the RoSA and HSC pathway for a vocational pathway to achieve a certificate II or III. The program requires students to be signed out of school. Students are leaving school by enrolling in this program.

Vocational Pathways: Post Year 10

The program requires students to have already left school or to be signed out of school. Students are leaving school by enrolling in this program.

Important: We have rolling enrolments.

It doesn’t matter what time of the year students are ready to start.

When they are ready, we are too!

Work Placements and/or Internships

If students are undertaking a vocational program with us and can demonstrate commitment to learn and work, we will organise work placement opportunities for them. They are responsible for the experience!

Work placement is a student’s chance learn new skills and demonstrate how their classroom learning can be applied in real workplace conditions.

For higher-level vocational qualifications and subject to employer needs, students may be offered an internship, allowing them to opt for volunteer work within an organisation while completing their learning.

(Note: Internships are volunteer programs, Traineeship/ Apprenticeships are paid programs)

School Involvement

Parents will be required to discuss the Pathway program with their child’s school Principal . The college must receive an exemption from enrolment from their current school before the student is eligible to enrol in our Pathway program
